There’s a phrase you hear from time to time that goes, “If it were easy, everybody would do it.” That is the perfect summary of this project. I can’t even begin to describe this journey and all its complexity and challenges. But rather than complain about those things, let me instead talk about the rewards.
We’ve been able to do something that very few people get to do, and I am eternally grateful for that. It’s not every day that you get an opportunity to make a TV show episode with such talented cast and crew. The Alexis project currently represents the best work my company has created to date. The bar has been raised significantly for us and we intend to continue to challenge ourselves to get better every step of the way. The teamwork has been incredible. So many people have generously given their time, resources and expertise to allow us to make this project better than we could have imagined. Thank you!
A project like this is not for the feint of heart. It is all-consuming. There are sleepless nights. Blown budgets. Conflicting egos. Rewrite after rewrite. Lonesome crying. Technical hurdles. Logistical challenges. Scheduling conflicts. Disagreements. Health issues. Missed opportunities. Never enough time. And on and on.
As the production and post-production days dwindle, I ask myself, “Was it all worth it?”
